Mankato, Minn. - The #4 Minnesota State women’s soccer team earned its record-setting 11th consecutive win with a 1-0 victory over St. Cloud State. The fifth consecutive shutout also extends MSU’s record of shutouts in a season to 11.
Senior Keri Blanchette (Burnsville, Minn.) scored the Mavericks’ lone goal at 59:12. She was assisted by sophomore Natalie Bullis (Madison, Wis.).
Senior goalkeeper Nicole Johannson (North Delta, B.C.) made one save in the match. She improves to 14-1 on the season and earned her ninth shutout. With the win and shutout, Johannson ties the season wins and shutouts in a season records.
On senior day for the Mavericks, seniors Blanchette, Johannson and Emily Sawyer (Burnsville, Minn.) were recognized prior to the match.
The Mavericks (15-2 overall, 10-0 NCC) are home Nov. 2 in a conference match with the University of Minnesota Duluth.
